Functional Bodyweight Exercise
Spartan SGX coaches offer personal training, small- and large-group classes indoors and outdoors, and in boxes, gyms and studios. Some coaches offer beginner and advanced classes; others offer one class and scale the workouts to the ability of participants. The easy-to-follow workouts are novel and variable. Coaches bring individuality and creativity to their programs too, so every class is unique.
Your coach will train you in four domains: Athleticism, Endurance, Strength, and Mind. In addition, your coach can advise on obstacle race strategy, including techniques for overcoming Spartan obstacles. Workouts are typically 50 to 60 minutes long. Coaches may integrate weight-bearing movements and back-to-basics equipment, from kettlebells to pull-up bars to sandbags. And you may also climb, row, run or spin, to build all-around fitness.
Even if you never run a Spartan Race, you will still benefit. After all, given the incredible demands of an obstacle race, a Spartan needs to be an ultimate athlete.
