Functional Bodyweight Exercise

Set A GoalSpartan SGX coaches offer personal training, small- and large-group classes indoors and outdoors, and in boxes, gyms and studios. Some coaches offer beginner and advanced classes; others offer one class and scale the workouts to the ability of participants. The easy-to-follow workouts are novel and variable. Coaches bring individuality and creativity to their programs too, so every class is unique.

Your coach will train you in three primary domains: Athleticism, Endurance and Strength. In addition, your coach can advise on obstacle race strategy, including techniques for overcoming Spartan obstacles. Workouts are typically 50 to 60 minutes long. Coaches may integrate weight-bearing movements and back-to-basics equipment, from kettlebells to pull-up bars to sandbags. And you may also climb, row, run or spin, to build all-around fitness.

Even if you never run a Spartan Race, you will still benefit. After all, given the incredible demands of an obstacle race, a Spartan needs to be an ultimate athlete.
